FAQs
What is your turnaround time for quilt orders?
Our turnaround time for our t-shirt and memory quilts is 6 to 8 weeks, unless otherwise stated. The wheelchair and baby quilts are generally 4 weeks.
Why can't I just cut the graphic image from the t-shirt quilt before sending to you?
Please do not cut the image. It will not be straight and will be useable. In order to maintain the shape of the graphic image, each square requires a special stablizer to be added to the 15 x 15-inch square before cutting. This ensures that the square will not skew during sewing process.
Will you send any unused t-shirts back to me?
Yes, we will return any unused whole t-shirts back to you. However, we will not return any t-shirts that were used for your order, unless othewise requested.
Can you use both the front and the back of a t-shirt?
Yes, you can choose to use both image from the front and back of a t-shirt. We ask that when you send a shirt that has two sides and you wish us to use both, please pin a post-it note to that shirt. This indicates to us that you want the images on front and back in your order. Any shirts sent without a pinned post-it note, we will only use the graphic image on the front of the shirt. Again, we will only return an unused portion of a t-shirt upon your request.
What type of fabric do you use for the back of your quilts?
All of our quilts are backed with a soft, cozy, no-pill fleece.
Are all your quilts made to be machine-washable?
Yes, all of our quilts are machine-washable. Please wash them on delicate setting in cold water. When drying, use the delicate low heat setting. You can also line dry them.
What if I don't have enough t-shirts for the quilt size I want?
Remember you can always use both the front and the back of your t-shirt to get the number you want. If you don’t have enough t-shirts and you are short just one, let’s talk. We can offer you some suggestions.
Will any dark color fabric used in my quilt bleed during the wash?
All sashing and border fabrics for your order are pre-washed to ensure that they do not bleed when you wash the quilt yourself. However, when you wash your quilt for the first time, we highly recommend that you use 3 or 4 “color catcher” sheets in the wash. These little gems will catch any and all bleeds that might come off the fabric.
